Noxy Rolph
Managing Director
In common folklore, your name supposedly dictates your fate, destiny, personality, and your heart’s desires. The name bestowed upon me by my Father, “Noxolo”, most certainly resonates with me. A name of South African origin meaning ‘peace’ or ‘peaceful one’, and one which defines the amalgamation of the virtues and principles I have instilled into my professional career and into NOX Recruitment.
I admire those people that know what their life’s purpose is from the day they stepped foot out into the world. For me, that journey was not so simple. In fact, for any young, black, aspiring ‘girltrepreneur’ in today’s society, that journey is never simple. Barriers meet us at every corner. So naturally, it seemed fitting to go with the status-quo. You go to university, you join a mainstream corporation, and you spend your 9-5 reminiscing about sticking it to the man. Which I did. I graduated from Staffordshire University with a Bachelor’s in Law. But of course, my journey didn’t start there. I was in and out of different careers, in sales, marketing and insurance. Except I knew that this wasn’t for me. I knew I had a greater purpose to fulfil in my lifetime, and these careers couldn’t complete that fulfilment for me. That being said, the steps I had taken and the experience my education and work experience were arming me with an abundance of skills and professional attitudes. But, if I wanted professional contentment, I needed to create the perfect opportunity for myself.
I knew that my heart lay in serving the social welfare of the community I have grown in. I understood just how difficult that transiting into an ever-changing society can be for any person, regardless of their age, race, gender, religion. I wanted to create that hub that put people first and changed lives. I knew my end goal, but the steps between were still blurry. So I took an interest in business management, eventually obtaining my diploma whilst gathering as much knowledge about the social welfare world in the position of Business Manager for a care agency, obtaining a Level 5 certification in the process.
The final pivotal moment came where I had mapped out my next steps and was ready to start fulfilling my life’s purpose and thus, NOX Recruitment was born. With the aim to not just bring likeminded people together, who desire to support and give back to their communities – physically, mentally, and socially, but also by getting out into the field myself and delivering that aid together alongside this community of allies. NOX has enabled me to stay connected to the most vulnerable, recognise where key organisations need an extra hand and deliver rapid, reliable support to help make society a more empowering place to be.
As a single mother with two children, I wanted to make this world one step closer to perfect. For my children to find their own feet in; to find their own purpose. NOX Recruitment was not merely intended as a business venture alone, but a journey. One that helped me to recalibrate my own compass and encourage others to do the very same.
Your career is what you make it; I found my purpose in NOX. Let us help you to find yours.
